Free Period! ……. Newsletter

Rachael CrowGuest Writings, Newsletters

Hello Sistars,

I opened my Facebook this morning to see this powerful little film that highlights the plight of girls in poverty. Free Period  Ever since being a teenager I’ve wondered why menstrual products aren’t free…well these Scottish campaigners are urging their government to make some changes! Perhaps it’s time the UK followed their example! “The Scottish government funds the provision of condoms in the interest of public health, it does not currently provide free sanitary products to young women and girls, or homeless women, or women living in poverty. Join in campaigning for change on this matter and insist that provision of free sanitary care become a legislative requirement in schools throughout Scotland.”
